Ayah: 71

قَالَ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ بَنَاتِيٓ إِن كُنتُمۡ فَٰعِلِينَ
[Lot] a spus: „Acestea sunt fiicele mele[13], dacă voiți voi să faceți [o căsătorie permisă].”
[13] Femeile din comunitatea sa care se puteau căsători

Ayah: 72

لَعَمۡرُكَ إِنَّهُمۡ لَفِي سَكۡرَتِهِمۡ يَعۡمَهُونَ
Pe viața ta, [o, Mohammed], cu adevărat ei rătăceau în aiureala lor.

Ayah: 73

فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّيۡحَةُ مُشۡرِقِينَ
Așadar, la răsăritul Soarelui i-a prins pe ei strigătul[14]

فَجَعَلۡنَا عَٰلِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ حِجَارَةٗ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ
Și Noi am răsturnat [cetatea] cu susul în jos și am lăsat să plouă peste ei pietre de lut întărit.

إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّلۡمُتَوَسِّمِينَ
Și cu adevărat, în aceasta sunt semne pentru cei care știu să judece limpede.

وَإِنَّهَا لَبِسَبِيلٖ مُّقِيمٍ
Și cu adevărat, ea [cetatea] este pe un drum cunoscut de toți.

إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗ لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
Și cu adevărat, întru aceasta este un semn pentru credincioși.

وَإِن كَانَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡأَيۡكَةِ لَظَٰلِمِينَ
Și locuitorii din Al-Ayka [poporul lui Madyan] erau [de asemenea] nelegiuiți.

Ayah: 79

فَٱنتَقَمۡنَا مِنۡهُمۡ وَإِنَّهُمَا لَبِإِمَامٖ مُّبِينٖ
Și Noi ne-am răzbunat pe ei și, cu adevărat, amândouă [cetățile] sunt pe un drum cunoscut.

وَلَقَدۡ كَذَّبَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡحِجۡرِ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ
Și cu adevărat locuitorii din Al-Hijr[15] [Thamud] i-au socotit pe trimiși drept mincinoși.

وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمۡ ءَايَٰتِنَا فَكَانُواْ عَنۡهَا مُعۡرِضِينَ
Și le-am adus semnele Noastre, însă ei s-au abătut de la ele.

وَكَانُواْ يَنۡحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا ءَامِنِينَ
Și ei își scobeau în munți case, trăind în siguranță,

فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّيۡحَةُ مُصۡبِحِينَ
Însă strigătul i-a lovit în zorii dimineții,

فَمَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَكۡسِبُونَ
Și nu le-a fost lor spre folos ceea ce au agonisit.

وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّۗ وَإِنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ لَأٓتِيَةٞۖ فَٱصۡفَحِ ٱلصَّفۡحَ ٱلۡجَمِيلَ
Și Noi nu am creat Cerurile și Pământul, precum și ceea ce este între ele, decât cu dreptate. Și, cu adevărat, Ceasul va veni, [fără îndoială]! Deci iartă-le lor cu frumoasă iertare.

Ayah: 86

إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ ٱلۡخَلَّٰقُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ
Cu adevărat, Domnul tău este Al-Khallaq [Creatorul] [și] al-'Alim [Atoateștiutorul].

Ayah: 87

وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَيۡنَٰكَ سَبۡعٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡمَثَانِي وَٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ ٱلۡعَظِيمَ
Noi ți-am dat [o, Mohammed] șapte [Versete][16] dintre cele care se repetă și Coranul cel Măreț.
[16] Referindu-se la Surat al-Fatihah

Ayah: 88

لَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَيۡنَيۡكَ إِلَىٰ مَا مَتَّعۡنَا بِهِۦٓ أَزۡوَٰجٗا مِّنۡهُمۡ وَلَا تَحۡزَنۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَٱخۡفِضۡ جَنَاحَكَ لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
Nu-ți îndrepta ochii spre lucrurile pe care Noi le-am dat ca bucurie trecătoare unora dintre ei [necredincioșii] și nici nu fi trist pentru ei, ci pleacă aripa ta[17] peste dreptcredincioși.
[17] Arată-le bunătate

وَقُلۡ إِنِّيٓ أَنَا ٱلنَّذِيرُ ٱلۡمُبِينُ
Și spune: „Cu adevărat, eu sunt prevestitorul cel deslușit” -

كَمَآ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَى ٱلۡمُقۡتَسِمِينَ
[Ți-am trimis ție Coranul], precum am trimis [Scripturi] celor ce au împărțit [între ei][18],
[18] Evreii și creștini care s-au separat de învățăturile Profeților lor
