AL-HIJR

Ayah: 1

الٓرۚ تِلۡكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَقُرۡءَانٖ مُّبِينٖ
Alif, Lam, Ra[1]. Acestea sunt Versetele Cărții și ale unui Coran limpede.

Ayah: 2

رُّبَمَا يَوَدُّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَوۡ كَانُواْ مُسۡلِمِينَ
Poate că cei care nu au crezut vor dori[2] să fi fost musulmani.
[2] În Ziua Judecății de Apoi sau la momentul morții

Ayah: 3

ذَرۡهُمۡ يَأۡكُلُواْ وَيَتَمَتَّعُواْ وَيُلۡهِهِمُ ٱلۡأَمَلُۖ فَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُونَ
Lasă-i să mănânce și să se bucure și speranța [falsă] să-i desfete pentru că ei vor ști [pe urmă].

Ayah: 4

وَمَآ أَهۡلَكۡنَا مِن قَرۡيَةٍ إِلَّا وَلَهَا كِتَابٞ مَّعۡلُومٞ
Și Noi nu am nimicit nicio cetate fără ca ea să nu fi avut un termen hotărât

Ayah: 5

مَّا تَسۡبِقُ مِنۡ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسۡتَـٔۡخِرُونَ
Niciun neam nu poate să grăbească termenul său și nici să-l întârzie.

Ayah: 6

وَقَالُواْ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِي نُزِّلَ عَلَيۡهِ ٱلذِّكۡرُ إِنَّكَ لَمَجۡنُونٞ
Și ei [meccanii] spun: „O, tu cel căruia i-a fost pogorât Coranul, tu ești nebun[3].
[3] Literar: „posedat de djinn”

Ayah: 7

لَّوۡمَا تَأۡتِينَا بِٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ
De ce nu ne aduci tu Îngerii, dacă ești tu dintre cei care spun adevărul?”

Ayah: 8

مَا نُنَزِّلُ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَمَا كَانُوٓاْ إِذٗا مُّنظَرِينَ
Noi nu facem să coboare Îngerii decât cu Adevărul[4]. Și atunci ei [necredincioșii] nu vor mai fi păsuiți.
[4] Cu un mesaj sau așa cum sugerează versetul pentru a îndeplini o pedeapsă promisă

Ayah: 9

إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نَزَّلۡنَا ٱلذِّكۡرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ لَحَٰفِظُونَ
Cu adevărat, Noi am pogorât Mesajul [Coranul] și cu adevărat Noi îi vom fi păzitori!

Ayah: 10

وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِكَ فِي شِيَعِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
Și cu adevărat, Noi am trimis [Profeți] mai înainte de tine [o, Mohammed] la sectele popoarelor vechi.

Ayah: 11

وَمَا يَأۡتِيهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ
Și nu a venit la ei un Trimis că numaidecât l-au și batjocorit.

كَذَٰلِكَ نَسۡلُكُهُۥ فِي قُلُوبِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ
Astfel facem Noi [necredința] să intre în inimile nelegiuiților.

لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦ وَقَدۡ خَلَتۡ سُنَّةُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
Ei nu cred în ea [Carte] în ciuda a ceea ce s-a întâmplat cu obiceiul popoarelor anterioare.

Ayah: 14

وَلَوۡ فَتَحۡنَا عَلَيۡهِم بَابٗا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَظَلُّواْ فِيهِ يَعۡرُجُونَ
Și [chiar] dacă le-am deschide o poartă din Cer și ei ar ajunge să tot urce prin ea,

Ayah: 15

لَقَالُوٓاْ إِنَّمَا سُكِّرَتۡ أَبۡصَٰرُنَا بَلۡ نَحۡنُ قَوۡمٞ مَّسۡحُورُونَ
Ei ar spune cu siguranță: „Ochii noștri au fost doar închiși. Dimpotrivă noi suntem un popor de [oameni] fermecați.”
