إِنَّ فِرۡعَوۡنَ عَلَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَجَعَلَ أَهۡلَهَا شِيَعٗا يَسۡتَضۡعِفُ طَآئِفَةٗ مِّنۡهُمۡ يُذَبِّحُ أَبۡنَآءَهُمۡ وَيَسۡتَحۡيِۦ نِسَآءَهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَ
Quả thật, Pha-ra-ông tự suy tôn mình (là chúa) tối cao trong xứ, (ép dân Israel làm nô lệ), chia họ thành nhiều nhóm nhỏ để làm họ suy yếu, giết chết các con trai và tha sống các con gái của họ. Quả thật, hắn là một tên tàn bạo quá mức.
