أَوَلَمَّآ أَصَٰبَتۡكُم مُّصِيبَةٞ قَدۡ أَصَبۡتُم مِّثۡلَيۡهَا قُلۡتُمۡ أَنَّىٰ هَٰذَاۖ قُلۡ هُوَ مِنۡ عِندِ أَنفُسِكُمۡۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٞ
Phải chăng khi các ngươi bị thiệt hại nặng (tại Uhud) mặc dầu trước đó (tại Badr) các ngươi đã đập (kẻ thù) bằng một đòn mạnh gấp hai (đòn các ngươi đã bị tại Uhud), các ngươi than thở, nói: “Tai họa này từ đâu đến?” Hãy bảo họ: "Tai họa này do bản thân của các người gây ra". Bởi vì thật ra Allah có quyền chi phối trên tất cả mọi việc.
