الٓمٓ
Alif. La-m. Mi-m[9]
[9] Đây là những chữ cái của mẫu tự Ả-rập. Khi ba chữ cái Alif. Lãm. Mĩm. được đặt chung với nhau như thế thì được gọi là Muqatta'at hay chữ tắt. Trong Qur’an, Muqatta’at Alif. Lãm. Mĩm. được khởi xướng tại các chương 2, 3, 29, 30, 31, và 32. Các học giả Muslim giải thích đó là một phương cách Allah gợi sự chú ý của cử tọa. Chỉ Allah thôi biết ý nghĩa của nó.
