وَأُحِيطَ بِثَمَرِهِۦ فَأَصۡبَحَ يُقَلِّبُ كَفَّيۡهِ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَنفَقَ فِيهَا وَهِيَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَىٰ عُرُوشِهَا وَيَقُولُ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي لَمۡ أُشۡرِكۡ بِرَبِّيٓ أَحَدٗا
Và mùa màng trái cây của y bị tiêu diệt toàn bộ. Do đó, y bắt đầu xoa hai lòng bàn tay (tỏ vẻ hối tiếc) về công lao và tiền bạc mà y đã chi tiêu vào việc khai khẩn và trồng trọt vườn nho. Và trái nho lẫn giàn nho đều ngã rạp xuống đất nằm ngổn ngang; và y nói: “Thật khổ cho thân tôi! Phải chi tôi không tổ hợp một ai với Thượng Đế của mình (thì đâu xảy ra cớ sự này!)”
