وَیَدْرَؤُا عَنْهَا الْعَذَابَ اَنْ تَشْهَدَ اَرْبَعَ شَهٰدٰتٍۢ بِاللّٰهِ ۙ— اِنَّهٗ لَمِنَ الْكٰذِبِیْنَ ۟ۙ

இன்னும், அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது சத்தியமாக நிச்சயமாக (எனது கணவராகிய) அவர் பொய் கூறுபவர்களில் உள்ளவர் என்று நான்கு முறை அவள் சாட்சி சொல்வது அவளை விட்டும் (விபச்சாரத்தின்) தண்டனையை தடுக்கும்.
