Ayah: 12

يَٰيَحۡيَىٰ خُذِ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ بِقُوَّةٖۖ وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُ ٱلۡحُكۡمَ صَبِيّٗا
[Allah a spus]: „O, Ioan, primește [urmează-o] Scriptura întru putere.” Și i-am dăruit Noi înțelepciune, pe când el era încă un copil,
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 13

وَحَنَانٗا مِّن لَّدُنَّا وَزَكَوٰةٗۖ وَكَانَ تَقِيّٗا
Și Îndurare din partea Noastră și puritate și el avea frică de Allah

Ayah: 14

وَبَرَّۢا بِوَٰلِدَيۡهِ وَلَمۡ يَكُن جَبَّارًا عَصِيّٗا
Și era iubitor față de părinții lui; și nu era el semeț sau nesupus [lui Allah sau părinților lui]

Ayah: 15

وَسَلَٰمٌ عَلَيۡهِ يَوۡمَ وُلِدَ وَيَوۡمَ يَمُوتُ وَيَوۡمَ يُبۡعَثُ حَيّٗا
Și pacea fi-va asupra lui în ziua când se va fi născut el, ca și în ziua când se va sfârși și în ziua când va fi readus în viață.

Ayah: 16

وَٱذۡكُرۡ فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ مَرۡيَمَ إِذِ ٱنتَبَذَتۡ مِنۡ أَهۡلِهَا مَكَانٗا شَرۡقِيّٗا
Și pomenește [O, Mohammed] în Carte [Coranul] și de Maria, când ea s-a retras de la neamul ei într-un loc spre răsărit.

Ayah: 17

فَٱتَّخَذَتۡ مِن دُونِهِمۡ حِجَابٗا فَأَرۡسَلۡنَآ إِلَيۡهَا رُوحَنَا فَتَمَثَّلَ لَهَا بَشَرٗا سَوِيّٗا
Și a pus între ea și între ei un văl. Și atunci am trimis la ea Duhul Nostru[5], care i s-a arătat cu înfățișarea unui om adevărat.

Ayah: 18

قَالَتۡ إِنِّيٓ أَعُوذُ بِٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ مِنكَ إِن كُنتَ تَقِيّٗا
Ea a spus: „Caut apărare la Cel Milostiv față de tine! Dacă ai teamă de Allah [nu te apropia de mine].”

Ayah: 19

قَالَ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ رَسُولُ رَبِّكِ لِأَهَبَ لَكِ غُلَٰمٗا زَكِيّٗا
El i-a răspuns: „Eu sunt numai un Trimis al Domnului tău ca să-ți vestesc un prunc curat.”

Ayah: 20

قَالَتۡ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِي غُلَٰمٞ وَلَمۡ يَمۡسَسۡنِي بَشَرٞ وَلَمۡ أَكُ بَغِيّٗا
Însă ea a spus: „Cum să am eu un prunc, dacă nu m-a atins niciun bărbat și eu nu sunt nici desfrânată [Baghiyya]?”

Ayah: 21

قَالَ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ هُوَ عَلَيَّ هَيِّنٞۖ وَلِنَجۡعَلَهُۥٓ ءَايَةٗ لِّلنَّاسِ وَرَحۡمَةٗ مِّنَّاۚ وَكَانَ أَمۡرٗا مَّقۡضِيّٗا
El a spus: „Așa [va fi] spune Domnul tău: „Acesta pentru Mine-i [un lucru] ușor! Și-l vom face Noi un semn pentru oameni și o îndurare din partea Noastră! Acesta-i un lucru [de mult] hotărât.”

Ayah: 22

۞ فَحَمَلَتۡهُ فَٱنتَبَذَتۡ بِهِۦ مَكَانٗا قَصِيّٗا
Și ea l-a purtat [în pântece] și s-a retras cu el într-un loc depărtat.

فَأَجَآءَهَا ٱلۡمَخَاضُ إِلَىٰ جِذۡعِ ٱلنَّخۡلَةِ قَالَتۡ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي مِتُّ قَبۡلَ هَٰذَا وَكُنتُ نَسۡيٗا مَّنسِيّٗا
Și durerile nașterii au dus-o lângă trunchiul unui curmal și a zis: „O, de aș fi murit înainte de aceasta și cu totul de-aș fi fost uitată.”

Ayah: 24

فَنَادَىٰهَا مِن تَحۡتِهَآ أَلَّا تَحۡزَنِي قَدۡ جَعَلَ رَبُّكِ تَحۡتَكِ سَرِيّٗا
Dar [un glas] a strigat-o de sub ea, [spunându-i]: „Nu fi mâhnită! Domnul tău a făcut mai jos de tine un pârâiaș.

Ayah: 25

وَهُزِّيٓ إِلَيۡكِ بِجِذۡعِ ٱلنَّخۡلَةِ تُسَٰقِطۡ عَلَيۡكِ رُطَبٗا جَنِيّٗا
Și scutură spre tine trunchiul de curmal, căci vor fi lăsate să cadă lângă tine curmale proaspete coapte.
