وَمَا كَانَ اسْتِغْفَارُ اِبْرٰهِیْمَ لِاَبِیْهِ اِلَّا عَنْ مَّوْعِدَةٍ وَّعَدَهَاۤ اِیَّاهُ ۚ— فَلَمَّا تَبَیَّنَ لَهٗۤ اَنَّهٗ عَدُوٌّ لِّلّٰهِ تَبَرَّاَ مِنْهُ ؕ— اِنَّ اِبْرٰهِیْمَ لَاَوَّاهٌ حَلِیْمٌ ۟
او ابراهیم خپل پلار ته یوازې د هغې وعدې له مخې بښنه وغوښتله چې له خپل پلار سره یې کړې وه. خو چې کله ورته څرګنده شوه چې پلار یې د الله دښمن دی،نو بې زاري یې ترې اعلان کړه بې شکه چې ابراهیم ډیر زارۍ کوونکی او ډیر تحمل والا وو.
