Ayah: 17

ٱذۡهَبۡ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ
Gara Fir'awn deemi; inni daangaa darbee jira.
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 18

فَقُلۡ هَل لَّكَ إِلَىٰٓ أَن تَزَكَّىٰ
Jedhiin: "sila gara (shirkii irraa) qulqulleffachuutti fedha qabdaa?
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 19

وَأَهۡدِيَكَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَتَخۡشَىٰ
Akka sodaattuuf gara Gooftaa keetii si qajeelchutti (fedha qabdaa)."

Ayah: 20

فَأَرَىٰهُ ٱلۡأٓيَةَ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰ
[Muusan] mallattoo guddaa isa (Fir'awniin) agarsiise.

فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَىٰ
Inni (Fir’awn) sobsiisee faallesse.

ثُمَّ أَدۡبَرَ يَسۡعَىٰ
Ergasii ariifataa gara gale.

فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَىٰ
Sana booda walitti qabee lallabe:

فَقَالَ أَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمُ ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰ
“Ani gooftaa keessan isa ol aanaadha” jedhe.

فَأَخَذَهُ ٱللَّهُ نَكَالَ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ وَٱلۡأُولَىٰٓ
Sana booda Rabbiin adabbii [badii] boodaatiifi jalqabaatiifis isa qabe.

Ayah: 26

إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبۡرَةٗ لِّمَن يَخۡشَىٰٓ
Dugumatti, kana keessa nama Rabbiin sodaatuuf gorsatu jira.

Ayah: 27

ءَأَنتُمۡ أَشَدُّ خَلۡقًا أَمِ ٱلسَّمَآءُۚ بَنَىٰهَا
Sila uumaa keessantu irra jabaata moo samii dha? Inni (Rabbiin) ishee ni ijaare.

Ayah: 28

رَفَعَ سَمۡكَهَا فَسَوَّىٰهَا
Ijaarsa ishee ol fuudhee, ishee wal qixxeesse.

وَأَغۡطَشَ لَيۡلَهَا وَأَخۡرَجَ ضُحَىٰهَا
Halkan ishee dukkaneessee guyyaa ishee ibse.

وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ ذَٰلِكَ دَحَىٰهَآ
Dachii sana booda sirreesse.

أَخۡرَجَ مِنۡهَا مَآءَهَا وَمَرۡعَىٰهَا
Ishee irraa bishaan isheetiifi biqiltuu ishee ni baase.

وَٱلۡجِبَالَ أَرۡسَىٰهَا
Gaarreenis dachii irra ni dhaabe.

مَتَٰعٗا لَّكُمۡ وَلِأَنۡعَٰمِكُمۡ
Isiniifi beelladoota keessan qanansiisuuf [kana godhe].

فَإِذَا جَآءَتِ ٱلطَّآمَّةُ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰ
Yeroo balaan guddoon (Qiyaamaan) dhufte,

يَوۡمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مَا سَعَىٰ
Guyyaa namni waan hojjate hunda yaadatu,

وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلۡجَحِيمُ لِمَن يَرَىٰ
(Guyyaa) ibiddi jahannam namuma arguuf mul'atte,

فَأَمَّا مَن طَغَىٰ
Namni daangaa dabree,

وَءَاثَرَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا
Jireenya addunyaa kanaa filate,

Ayah: 39

فَإِنَّ ٱلۡجَحِيمَ هِيَ ٱلۡمَأۡوَىٰ
Dhugumatti, jahannam teesson isaa.

Ayah: 40

وَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ وَنَهَى ٱلنَّفۡسَ عَنِ ٱلۡهَوَىٰ
Namni Gooftaa isaa dura dhaabbachuu sodaatee, lubbuu isaa waan isheen hawwitu irraa dhorge,

Ayah: 41

فَإِنَّ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ هِيَ ٱلۡمَأۡوَىٰ
Dhugumatti, jannanni bakka qubannaa isaati.

Ayah: 42

يَسۡـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلسَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرۡسَىٰهَا
[Yaa Muhammad SAW!] Qiyaamaa irraa, yoom argamtii ishee si gaafatu.

Ayah: 43

فِيمَ أَنتَ مِن ذِكۡرَىٰهَآ
Ati beekumsa ishee irraa maal keessa jirta?

Ayah: 44

إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ مُنتَهَىٰهَآ
Beekumsi ishee kan dhumaa garuma Gooftaa keetiiti.

إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُنذِرُ مَن يَخۡشَىٰهَا
Ati akeekkachiisaa nama ishee sodaatuuti.

كَأَنَّهُمۡ يَوۡمَ يَرَوۡنَهَا لَمۡ يَلۡبَثُوٓاْ إِلَّا عَشِيَّةً أَوۡ ضُحَىٰهَا
Isaan guyyaa ishee argan akka waan isaan galgala tokko yookiin ganama tokko malee (addunyaa irra) hin turin itti fakkaata.
