هُنَالِكَ دَعَا زَكَرِیَّا رَبَّهٗ ۚ— قَالَ رَبِّ هَبْ لِیْ مِنْ لَّدُنْكَ ذُرِّیَّةً طَیِّبَةً ۚ— اِنَّكَ سَمِیْعُ الدُّعَآءِ ۟
ಅದೇ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಝಕರಿಯ್ಯಾ(ಅ) ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಭುವಿನೊಡನೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದರು: 'ಓ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಭುವೇ, ನಿನ್ನವತಿಯಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ಸುನೀತವಾದ ಸಂತತಿಯನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸು. ನಿಸ್ಸಂದೇಹವಾಗಿಯು ನೀನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ಆಲಿಸುವವನಾಗಿರುವೆ'.
