Ayah: 1

وَٱلۡمُرۡسَلَٰتِ عُرۡفٗا
قسم به بادهای فرستاده شده‌ای پی در پی.
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 2

فَٱلۡعَٰصِفَٰتِ عَصۡفٗا
(باز) قسم به بادهای تیز وزنده.
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 3

وَٱلنَّٰشِرَٰتِ نَشۡرٗا
و قسم به بادهای که ابرها را منتشر می‌کنند (برای باریدن باران).

Ayah: 4

فَٱلۡفَٰرِقَٰتِ فَرۡقٗا
باز قسم به فرشتگان فرق‌کننده (بین حق و باطل).

Ayah: 5

فَٱلۡمُلۡقِيَٰتِ ذِكۡرًا
پس قسم به فرشتگان القا کنندۀ وعظ و وحی.

Ayah: 6

عُذۡرًا أَوۡ نُذۡرًا
برای رفع عذر یا بیم دادن (از عذاب الله).

Ayah: 7

إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعٞ
که البته آنچه وعده داده می‌شوید (از جزا و سزا) واقع شدنی است.

فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتۡ
پس وقتی که ستاره‌ها بی‌نور و محو شوند.

وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتۡ
و وقتی که آسمان شگافته شود.

Ayah: 10

وَإِذَا ٱلۡجِبَالُ نُسِفَتۡ
و وقتی که کوه‌ها ریشه کن و پراگنده شوند.

وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتۡ
و وقتی که برای (جمع شدن) پیغمبران وقت تعیین شود.

لِأَيِّ يَوۡمٍ أُجِّلَتۡ
برای کدام روزی پس انداخته شده‌اند؟

Ayah: 13

لِيَوۡمِ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ
برای روز فیصله (به دادگاه الهی پس انداخته شده‌اند).

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا يَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ
و تو چه می‌دانی که روز فیصله چیست؟

وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
در آن روز وای بر تکذیب‌کنندگان.

أَلَمۡ نُهۡلِكِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
آیا ما پیشینیان (مجرم) را هلاک نکردیم؟

ثُمَّ نُتۡبِعُهُمُ ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ
باز پسينيان [مجرم‌] را در پی آنان می‌آوریم.

كَذَٰلِكَ نَفۡعَلُ بِٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ
ما با مجرمان اینگونه رفتار می‌کنیم.

وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
در آن روز وای بر تکذیب‌کنندگان.
