إِن نَّقُولُ إِلَّا ٱعۡتَرَىٰكَ بَعۡضُ ءَالِهَتِنَا بِسُوٓءٖۗ قَالَ إِنِّيٓ أُشۡهِدُ ٱللَّهَ وَٱشۡهَدُوٓاْ أَنِّي بَرِيٓءٞ مِّمَّا تُشۡرِكُونَ
دربارۀ تو چیزی نمی‌گوییم مگر این که بعضی معبودان ما به تو آسیبی رسانده است. هود گفت: من الله را گواه می‌گیرم و شما (هم) گواه باشید که من از آنچه (شما می‌پرستید و) شریک الله می‌سازید، بیزارم.
